For 4 servings:
8 ounces of linguine pasta
2 chicken breasts, sliced into thin strips
2 tablespoons of Cajun seasoning
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1 tablespoon of unsalted butter
1 red bell pepper, sliced
1 green bell pepper, sliced
1 small onion, chopped
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 cup of heavy cream
1/2 cup of grated parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons of chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Note: You can also use other types of pasta, such as penne or fettuccine, to make Cajun Chicken Pasta. Additionally, you can adjust the amount of Cajun seasoning based on your preference. Cajun Chicken Pasta can be served as a main dish, and it can be customized with additional ingredients such as shrimp or andouille sausage.
1. Cook the linguine pasta according to package directions in a large pot of salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. Season the chicken pieces with Cajun seasoning.
3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and sauté for 5-7 minutes until it's cooked through and lightly browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
4. In the same skillet, add the chopped peppers, onion, and garlic. Sauté for 5-7 minutes until they're soft and fragrant.
5. Add the heavy cream and chicken broth to the skillet, stir well, and bring it to a simmer. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the sauce has thickened.
6. Add the cooked linguine pasta and chicken to the skillet. Mix well to coat the pasta and chicken with the sauce. Cook for a few minutes until everything is heated through.
7. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
